Kdropbox requires the official daemon to work.
1- The first step is to download and install kdropbox (change the binary according to your distribution)
$ wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/kdropbox/Kdropbox-0.3.0/Open%20Suse%2011.2/kdropbox-0.2.0-12.i586.rpm
$sudo rpm -i kdropbox-0.3.0-6.1.i586.rpm
Dropbox folder location is established in the General tab

As you might know, currently Kdropbox supports English, Spanish, Polish and some other but probably you are from another country and you wish to have this application translated in your language. Translating KDE applications using Lokalize is quite easy for anyone as you can see in this manual. If you are familiar with Lokalize translating Kdropbox may take you less than 30 minutes. Help in this area would be appreciated. If you wan to translate Kdropbox to you language, please contact me adding a comment to this post (don't forget to fill email field) and I will provide you the proper translation file. Version 0.3.0 of Kdropbox is available. This version providing a new installation process, a custom internal Dropbox client and the Turkish translation by Anil Özbek From this version Kdropbox includes an installation process to simplify this task: for new installations Kdropbox downloads the official daemon, extracts the files and launches the gtk wizard for setting up the account. The complete process is described here. The new internal client makes possible to connect directly with the daemon avoiding the use of dropbox.py python script which is no more necessary.

Version 0.2.1 of Kdropbox available
This version is almost the same as Kdropbox 0.2.0 but providing Russian and Czech translations If you didn't installed previous version of kdropbox follow this install howto. Translators are needed to localize Kdropbox to as many languages as possible. Translating QT applications using Linguist is quite easy for anyone as you can see in this manual. Version 0.2.0 of Kdropbox is here! As some of you expected this version includes the possibility of controlling the daemon, open last changed files and fast access to the Dropbox folder by double clicking on the tray icon.
